On Saturday, November 4, we'll be throwing a block party at the 700 block of Meadow St in the Shandon Neighborhood from 1pm to 4pm. This awesome family friendly event is going to be a fun and exciting opportunity to bless the Shandon Neighborhood with the Love of God and at the same time party like we are famous for! We will have bounce houses, games, popcorn, ice cones, cotton candy, music, and lots of socializing opportunities. On November 12, from 4 to 6:30 pm, we will be hosting an Orphan Care Seminar at Lake Murray Baptist Church.

This event is geared toward anyone who wants to find out more about how they can be a part of caring for orphans in our city or around the world. We will have representatives from several different orphan care agencies on hand to give presentations and answer questions. If you have any interest in orphan care, or even interest in supporting those in our church who do foster and adopt (wraparound care), please come to this event!

STC | Homeworks Housing Blitz

We will host our Home Works Housing Blitz for our family of churches on October 21 from 8am to 4pm. Home Works Housing Blitz is a Saturday for us to serve through fixing homes for those who are unable to do the work themselves. We'll repair and improve multiple areas of homes that are owned by brothers and sisters that may be widows, elderly, or financially unable to afford necessary home repairs. We'll get to paint, perform various carpentry tasks, and improve the landscaping of their home.

This event is for all adults and is a great way to use your carpentry or painting skills to serve people in our city. Middle and high school students can accompany their parents. It will consist of landscaping, painting, interior home repair, and other home improvement needs. Volunteers can sign up for half day shifts if they can't make all day.

Come make memories with in-patient families and other families associated with Palmetto Health Children's Hospital. We will be in the Palmetto Health Children's Hospital Atrium from 5:00pm-7:00pm on October 14. All churches are invited to this kid friendly event.

Saturday Block Party

We will host a Block Party for our Two Notch church on Saturday, September 30 at 12:00pm. This is a great opportunity to get to know and love on the Pinehurst community surrounding our Two Notch church. We encourage you to bring your LifeGroup and family and hang out with us for a while. There will be a fish fry, games, a bounce house for the kids, and music. We will also have a local farmer selling fresh produce at an affordable price. EBT is accepted.

On SaturdaySeptember 23, we'll be throwing a Block Party with our friends at Transitions. Transitions is an organization that serves those in a homeless situation here in Columbia. We will be playing a variety of field day and carnival games, including a pie eating contest as the grand finale. We will have music, dancing and of course, carnival food, so come ready to dance, compete, and hang out with some of the most marginalized people in our city.

This event is open to anyone in our family of churches that is 18 years or older.

We will host a family-friendly Talent Show for our Serve the City partner organization Epworth Children's Home on Friday, September 22. The event will start around 5:30pm and end around 9:30pm. From 5:30pm-7:00pm we will hang out, eat, and play games with the talent show starting around 7:00pm. Come out and watch some talented people perform as well as make memories with our church family. If you have a special talent or know someone that does please sign up! This will be a great opportunity to love on the students living at Epworth. 

This event is open to anyone in our family of churches.

On August 13th from 1:00pm-4:00pm, we will be hosting a workday to help fix up our Kidtown building. This a great time to come help out and make memories together. We'll be doing some clean up, furniture assembly, and installation. If you have tools such as a drill, screwdriver, level, etc, please bring them with you.

Food will be provided for those who register below.

Ladies Picnic and River Day

We believe making memories together is important so we want to throw a Ladies Picnic & River Day for all the women in our church family on Saturday, July 29. To kick off the day, we will meet at the Midtown Offices at 11:30am for a fun picnic style meal. Afterward, we will shuttle everyone to tube down the river. We should return around 3:00pm. 

Drinks will be provided at the picnic but make sure to bring a meal with you.

We'll host a Midtown Class for our Downtown and Two Notch churches on May 28, June 4 and 11 from 2:00pm until 4:00pm each day. Midtown Class is a three-week class that covers the overall vision and mission of our church. Sessions are taught by Midtown pastors and pastors-in-training and include time for questions and finding out more about us.

Easter Gathering

On Easter Sunday, our Downtown & Two Notch churches will gather together for two Easter Gatherings to celebrate Jesus dying for our sins and conquering death and the grave. During the Gatherings, we will proclaim the gospel through joyous songs and baptisms. Before the baptisms, we'll watch videos of people describing how Jesus rescued them from their sinfulness and reconciled them to God, through His death and resurrection.

Following each Gathering, we will have a potluck afterparty with brunch in the morning and brinner at night. We're asking everyone to bring a breakfast dish. This will be as good as you make it, so go all out!

Kidtown will be available for toddlers & babies during the 10:00am Gathering. There will be no childcare at the 5:00pm.

STC | Palmetto Health Children's Hospital

 On Sunday, March 26th from 2:00-4:00pm, we will host a Serve the City Day Mission Trip to serve the patients at the Palmetto Health Children's Hospital. Our plan is to make Easter baskets for the patients at the Children's Hospital to help brighten their day. We hate seeing kids and parents hurting in our city and want to take every opportunity we can to show them they are loved. This is a family-friendly event.
